Have just joined so not sure if this is posted in correct place! Over the past few days my disco has refused to start in this current cold climate. Has occasionally started later in the day when things have warmed up a bit. Have recently fitted new battery. Starter motor should be ok as less than a year old. I can hear the starter relay clicking (behind panel right footwell) but absolutely no turning over of the engine. I think it may be an immobiliser problem but not sure. Any suggestions?

it could be just a bad earth cos this weather will make it worse

check your earths make sure they are clean and dry and a good contact.

Always best to check these first with n e electrical problem

I fitted a new battery on my wife's TDi 300 but as soon as the cold weather came, it couldn't cope. It has loads of cca, but it's just as if it's a poor quality item that can't handle cold weather, so poor or no starting.
