Hello, can anyone help? I've just re-fitted my reconditioned turbo from Turbocentre and on starting I'm getting lots of white smoke from the exhaust, lots of engine oil coming from the exhaust pipe and the oil level in the dip stick rapidly going south. Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong? WDC

ive found people fit turo drain pipe while storage ung was still fitted in outlet ,forcing oil through turbo seals into inlet,or even just a faulty recon

Thanks for the help. I cleaned out the inlet manifold so that might explain the white smoke. I'll take the turbo off again and check for a bung. Hope it isn't wrecked. If no bung then I'll send back. Many thanks for the suggestions. Bit more work to do.....

You did prime the turbo with oil before fitting?

and check feed and return were replaced or cleaned and checked they were serviceable. ie not clogged up.

most good suppliers will sell the recon tub with a primer kit. the warranty is invalid if you fit it incorrectly/fail to prime.

however go through it again and make sure all is clear/fitted corectly
