Reduced transmission 2 wheel drive only

I have a 2015 discovery sport with the following fault code P1889-71. After the original msg appeared we removed the haldex pump and the internal filter was full of sludge , after a good clean and new oil it worked fine for 24hours then the fault was back. Removed pump power source and connected it to an external power source and although it was a bit sluggish to react it did appear to work but not for long, would i be right in thinking it's time for a new pump or is there anything else i could try. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thought this was an odd subject, then saw Haldex, anyway try below, it is most similar to Freelander 2.

That code suggests a low pump pressure, so it's most likely to need a replacement pump.

i was told that if you fit a new pump you need to perform a learn on it via a diagnostic code reader and that this can only be done using either a Landrover dealer or independent specialist or you can use an autologic system. Unfortunately i only have access to the snapon system we use in the garage for mot's do you know if this is correct
