red light on centre console

Hi guys, Wondering if anyone has come across a l322 problem i have, there is a red light next to gearlever which does not go out after car has been locked it took about 5 hours to go out yesterday and been out at 4.30 today and it is still on now 21.40 any idea what it runs from or to.

Is it the 'P' light ?
Ie parking light.

If its staying on longer than it should you will find you will get a flat battery after a couple of days

Any lights should only stay on for 20 mins

Otherwise it sounds like the ECU is not going to sleep properly

Thanks guys, looked this morning and light was off. Came in tonight and light is back on, will keep checking it.

If it persists it may be worth disconnecting the battery for 15 mins to reset the computers and maybe clear some sort of error that is keeping the ECU awake
