Ok, now its all up and running and the way we want it. Time to think recovery.

At the back i have a nato hitch, Thats working fine, and the rear crossmember and drop plate are solid so thats fine.

Its at the front i'm worried about. Could i get one of those swivel recovery eye things that goes through the rear crossmember, with longer bolts, and put sideway through the front crossmember arms? Or would it go just through the front crossmember al la rear crossmember (also would this work sideways for the disco, as i cant put jate rings on that cos of bull bar)

Was considering D rings on top of bumper , but then realised, agian, bull bar. And no, not takin it off :D

tah

just got a cheap n cheerfull standard tow ball bolted to the front of mine - works fine

mounted inline with each of the main chassis members

If you go down the towbar path fit a Pin hitch. then you don't have to worry about the rope coming off during a recovery. You could also drill an hole in each leg of the bullbar, and fit a pair of shackles through the holes. It's what I had on my 110 when I had it.

Never thought of drilling holes in it.... My dads bars are completely tubed but have eyes at bottom, but our disco/series bars have the flat arms on em.
I were just thought of something maybe a little more lower down.
Got some 5T shackles too thinking about it.

Is that all you did red? didnt sure them up or anything? Gonna get the drill out when we go again:D

Nope just had an hole in each leg. and it was the same type that you have on your series. I suppose if you wanted too you could weld some 5mm flat plate to the inside faces. and drill through that as well but to be honest I wouldn't bother, as the bull bar is bolted to the chassis. If you use a towing bridle it'll spread the load across both attachment points.

posted these on here before but if yer want any o them yer can have em for the postage costs (probably a less than a tenner)....

an yer no gettin me glove, thats already sold!! :D
