Hello chaps

Who do you all use for your spares? For the L322 I tend to use LRparts but having not owned a classic for a few years, I wondered who's the go to peoples? I'm looking for body mounts for the RRC, who's best when comparing quality and price?

I have used island4x4 extensively over the years. They are usually really good, but let me down slightly on my last order just two weeks ago. They sorted it quickly though. I would still recommend them.

Are you after the rubber bits or replacement weld on mounts?
If it's the latter then Froggatts. When I did the rear body to sill mount the rubbers etc came with it.

As far as other bits are concerned I look up the part number then search online & compare prices so I've used quite a few including:
Island 4x4
Craddocks
Paddocks
DLS
Famous Four
Nationwide Trim (interior roof panel. GRP rather than the thing that comes as standard & easier to retrim when necessary)
Martrim (interior roof panel trim)
Can't say I've had any problems with any of them.

This is handy for part numbers. Some will have been superseded but when you search online the new number will usually come up.

Thanks Meego, I have used them in the past so may give them a go again

Thats brilliant Ratae, thank you very much

Well Island4x4 have let me down. Went out today to fit the front shocks I ordered, and they have sent me back shocks. The best if it is, I ordered SuperGaz for the front and hadn’t heard anything from them for a week and a half. When I emailed them, they said they were on back order. So why not let me feckin know then ??? It was them who said they would send an alternative Terrafirma set. I’m starting to lose my patience with them now.

I ended up using Island4x4, ordered Thursday afternoon and parts arrived Saturday morning, happy with that to be fair.
So is it worth starting a sticky thread about suppliers and peoples experiences?

They are usually really good. This is the first time they have let me down to be honest, so I’m not going to make a big deal out of it. It’s just annoying when your car is in bits on the drive.

So frustrating I bet, we all have our off days so to speak, its a busy time of year and what with staff shortages and just about every union on strike........ Allowances need to be made I think..

So staying with the current thread, who can recommend a good supplier of stainless manifolds for the 3.5? Also after an oversized alloy rad, I dealt with a company locally a few ago when I needed a new rad for the rally car, not sure if they are still about..

Off on a tangent .... don't accept the Terrafirma, they are crap in comparison and offer a non-existent customer service when they snap (as mine did after less than 18 months).

I seen your post about that I think. Hence the reason I opted for the SuperGaz. I’m hoping they get back to me early tomorrow to sort it out. We’ll see
