Recommendations for new tyres please

It's that time again when I need to replace 2 of my tyres on my 56 plate TD4. I've been using the Synchrone 205\55\R16 101H up until now after previously buying spares that have lasted me until now. However I can't find any more part worns so I could do with some recommendations of what to go for now please? What are the forum's tyres of choice at the moment? Preferably as cheap as possible but not budget tyres.

Are you running 4WD?

If not anything round and black.

If you are and only want to buy 2, then stick the best 2 you have on the front and buy 2 Synchrone 205\55\R16 101H for the rear!

Failing that you will need to buy 4 matching tyres (and a spare ideally). As for which ones, it is discussed a lot on here, have a search.

are you sure they are 16 ins on a 56 plate as they are usually 17ins

Latitude cross are a good replacement for synchrones

Thanks for the suggestion.. Am I right in thinking that they shouldn't be mixed with Synchrones though so would need to replace all 4 tyres?

Nothing can mix with Synchrones. You'll need to replace them all at once.
You'll need to know the correct size too, as the size you printed isn't correct for a Freelander
