recommendations for good gearbox company?

Hi I have a r380 gearbox from 300 tdi that needs either replacing or reconditioning. It will not go into 3rd from 4th and crunch's in 2nd & 3rd so something needs doing!

Can anybody recommend either a good company to supply a recondition gearbox or a company that i can send mine off to

James reconditions gearboxes though he won't tell you that. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Penn Autos in Wolverhampton.

Andy Frost builds gearboxes for cars with 3000 odd BHP so a little landy box will be no bother.

why he would be better at a landy gearbox than any other ,some of the hardest boxes are little car boxes ,cant see where the extra qualification comes from

I've merely offered my recommendation from positive personal experience like a lot of other folk have.

which is perfectly fine

, i just wondered why 300bhp made a difference ,familarlity helps as does any as does engineering principle understanding, he may well build some boxes but doesnt mean hes any good at another
