Now that is interesting. Is the Td5 timing chain and the 300Tdi belt? How often do they need replacing on the Tdi as if I go for a 300 I'd like to know when it would be due a replacement.

Thanks.

I have always ran D2's, on number 5 now
1. w reg ex demo, broke down 19 times in 12 months, Landrover gave me full refund after a hard 12 months
2. 52 plate face lift, great car, got divorced and ex missus took it ( bitch )
3. x reg, chipped from new, great car, good economy, went like **** off a shovel
4. 2004 es premium auto, full history, low miles, had it a fortnight, hated it, auto gearbox was ****e, (Autos freewheel down hills) talked on here to jm about it, garage couldn't sort it, so it went back after i told them my rights
5. 2004 pursuit, no sunrrofs, no ace, manual, 100k £4500, great car now it has been fully serviced by myself, very important as everybody will tell you, 1st thing to do!!
only problem air sus, goes down now and again, have new bags, but not got around to it yet,
D2 great car, but just look at rear chassis,

the only complication with td5 head gasket change compared to 300 tdi is that you have the timing chain to deal with but is well within a competent diyer after reading instructions

just a thought jm

how hard is it to do a v8 D2 headgasket, the 1 on ebay now is at around a £1k
and not so far from me,
will make a lot more yet i thinks,
just a thought, (not as though i would have time to mess about with it yet)
sunday night dreaming!!:lalala::bored:
