My old shed at the bottom of the garden has finally given up the ghost and I have decided to remove it and erect a small brick workshop in its place. Ideally I would like to use old bricks in place of the new modern looking ones. Can anyone recommend an affordable supplier of the old style 'used uneven or hand made' bricks.

Or do you have some.?! :)

Ta muchly :)

ebay! seriously

I bought over 1000 from a guy for £30. People are always flogging em on there.

The guy never told me they were 200 metres down the end of his field, but still saved a fortune!

The fiat multipla didnt like 400 bricks in it at a time mind....

be loads of places in the toon

There was a place just off Sandy Lane but way too expensive for the condition and brick type. After quick search on Gumtree there was a cracking deal in Northumberland (approx 600 for £55). However when I got there, there was just over 200 and completely different to what was advertised and he was now asking £150. Feck that I thought the deceiving git!!!!

There's gerzillions down the road from me into lockerbie where they demolished the old school. Yourll have to pikey em though

Try joining Freecycle - I've had bricks, paving slabs, concrete blocks, tin roof..... Just for the trouble of collecting them.

As for how many, just weigh a brick and divide it into your load allowance, and there you are.
