Recalls

hello,
iv owned a 2001 now for 10ish months and so far so good!!! however my question is, because my range was 6 years old when i had here and yes she had FLRSH how can i check if shes had any or all the recalls needed??? And if not would any done now be carried out free of charge?

take your vin number to yur local stealer - they can check recall history .

Don't know if there is a statutory time limit on recalls, guessing there is. Seems like your later model would have escaped a lot of issues as you'd expect anyway.

Nah, no time limits.

There's been a recent recall of all Series Land Rovers as there's serious issuse around how they manage to knock spots off of the newer motors.

I cut my teeth on a '73 Series III, and that's where my love of the gold and green badge started, but I don't think I could go back to a leaf sprung vehicle, fending off all that rust would drive me mad! Forward Control models excepted as they are cool vehicles...

I don't mind oil leaks and mechanical breakdowns, but can't be doing with corrosion, so maybe I'll get a proper Land Rover again one day but it'll be a mostly rust-free Defender.
