Every update is so much better than the Last! I can't believe how clean that gearbox n transfer box is....

Yep, there are some top notch shiny rebuilds on the go at the moment. Mine's way off this standard but, it's great to see what can be achieved.

That is kind of how I feel too...

I'm putting it down to experience, James. First rebuild I've done. I've regularly followed your work too and it's perfectly fine. Mine's not too bad, but compared to some of these guys I've a lot to learn. That's what it's all about really.

You're right James and A1203 both you're works are ace I have done it before and learnt by doing things different each time ! I have learnt things off here by reading and viewing others posts and threads the diversity in people's ideas and approach to a rebuild is what makes landyzone a great gathering place [emoji41][emoji106]

I don't think either of you have anything to worry about, you have both done great rebuilds

Just Gatso has done a number of rebuilds
and has extreme OCD and very deep pockets :p

I've got to agree too, some of these lately put mine to shame.
And I don't have very deep pockets  Which plays a fair part in any build, although you can do them on a budget if needed.
But the more I do, the more I learn, and realize what can be done on the next one to improve or make it better, it's bloody never ending

I think impatience, lack of funds and inexperience were the main reasons that mine doesn't look like that. I'm still paying off the credit card! I wanted it back on the road for winter. Good job I did as I had great fun in the snow :D

Saying that I am still really pleased with how it turned out, and people that know me can't believe that I built it. Off to Portugal in it in 2 weeks

I would like to have another go once I get a shed with decent lighting and a compressor, that can be heated and doesn't rust your tools overnight!

Exactly, the more you do the more you learn. But, the main thing for me is the realising what can be done better. Seeing others work on here has opened my eyes to how high the bar can be set. It might give you a brief 'oh bugger' moment, but you have to embrace and learn from it or you would remain mediocre!

Don't know about ace, GATSO. But I have learned so much off this forum it's unbelievable. Should get closer to ace with future work. After my build is finished I would like to have another go at the axles. ;)

Like you I'm still really pleased with what I've achieved, though it's not finished yet! Yes a workshop you can get the Landy in would be nice :)

Portugal trip sounds great. We're going camping in the Pyrenees and Northern Spain this summer - in the Mondeo estate though! :D

Only just stumbled on this.
This is one hell of a build...
Absolutely incredible attention to detail.

I'm taking detailed notes for my build....
Especially like the electroplated parts.
I'm definitely going to be doing that with mine....

Keep up the good work...
