rebuilding 3.5 ltr v8

Can some one please give me some advise on inserting my pistons. In the workshop manual it states that "the dome shaped boss on the piston arm must face the front of the engine on the right bank of cylinders" is this standing behind the engine or in front of it? in the reference section of the manual it states that refering to the right and left is as if you are standing behind unless the engine and gearbox is removed then the front of the engine is the water pump end. 'Not much help'.

FFS front is always end nearest the radiator so what is it ya struggling with????

i need to know which is the right bank of cylinders? so i can insert the piston with the dome shaped boss facing the front of the engine. I dont know which is the left bank of cylinders and which is the right.

well the bellhousing is the rear of the engine, and the water pump is the front.
so if you stand at the rear of the engine then the right handside is on the right.

If you start doing it the wrong way it won't quite fit right, so you coud just try it both ways
