Got a problem with my rear wiper, the only way to switch it off is to take fuse out. Can anyone give me any ideas what could be the problem please ?
Cheers Pete.

Being dum now, whats the park sensor and where is it, lol ?
Cheers Pete.

It's a switch on your wiper motor itself that tells your wipers when they have reached the parked position so they know when to stop moving.

Self parking wipers usually have a live power to them all the time the IGN key is ON.

There is a parking switch makes and breaks this supply every time the wipers reach their park location. It is built in to the wiper assembly.

If this switch fails CLOSED, the wipers won't stop. If it fails OPEN the wipers will usually move a tiny bit away from park and then stop for good.

It looks pretty sure yours has failed CLOSED, which should be easier to fix.

Take the thing out and have a look. You should be able to work out where the switch is, how to get at it, and hopefully how to sort it.

Freelanders are prone to the boot floors filling up with water. I just wondered if water causing a short could be your fault. From what you say though it sounds unlikely. It is possible that you caught a wire though.

I'm going to have a good look when i fit the new handle, it has only started doing it since i bust the handle, bloody heavy handed tw*t, lol.

problem sorted, i've changed the motor, seems fine at the moment, lol.
