Rear wiper & wash

Hi guys,

rear wiper and washer doesn't work on my car. Granted, the wiper is currently tied up (i think) with a cable tie though I've presumed that's because something is wrong with the motor. Replacement motor has arrived today however I just thought to myself, even if the rear wiper wasn't working, wouldn't the wash work? I've checked RAVE and the correct fuses are fine... so not really sure what else it could be?

I'm going to replace the motor just now (if I can figure out how to remove the wiper arm!).

So, seems there's a different issue. Operating the stalk on both the new and old motor gives no movement at all. Could the stalk/switch be at fault here? It works fine for the front wipers and washers (though the front washers have less power than a ****ing ant - different issue though)

Yep, if I take it out the interior lights go out. back in and its all back to normal.

Is it possible to have the rear wiper on permanently instead of intermittent? If so, what's the correct position of the stalk?

Stalk pulled back for rear intermittent, it does not do continuous.

So.. forgive me for being stupid but I can't find anything in RAVE that indicates how I go about getting access to the relays in the BECM so I can start testing..?

I don't have to remove the seat to replace/test a relay do I?

You cannot replace relays in the BECM, well you can but not in the conventional sense. All you can do is check for outputs from the various pins as suggested earlier. DO NOT open it and start playing it will end in many many tears.
