Rear wiper aint a testable item so forget bout it for mot. Not sure bout the law regardin seatbelts though. Mine passed last year wi no belts in back on fold up seats

Gears will be seized solid in motor so its fooked, i got me a rr soft dash classic motor which is the same spindle length an so on but just gotta get round to sortin the wiring as rr has 4 pin round plug and defender has 3 pin round plug

I just rebuilt the rear wiper motor on mine - take it all apartr very carefully (the top bit pulls off and all the springs and brushes pop out all over the place if yer not careful!) - with mine what happened wuz, wuz that the 2 magnets had become separated from the walls of the casing and fixed themselves fast to the coils of the motor so i just (and remember this bit) put them back in the casing THE RIGHT WAY ROUND!!!!! (ie the way they came out stuck to the coils) and glued them in with some Harold tight. Put it all back together and jobs a goodun, works a treat (although makes a clicking noise now when it's no but that is just coz i knackered the worm gear a bit taking it off!)

I thought you got a replacement?

Yeah, i did many thanks to you Ratty and it's sitting in me shed for the day my repair fails me! So far the repair seems to be OK - and it was on most of the way back from yours the other day so it seems to be bearing up at the mo! Oh yeah, it doesn't park anymore so i have to judge the "stop"!
