Rear Window

Hi I am a dizzy blonde living in Spain with my Freelander and I try to maintain it.
I had reason to change my battery and I have had problems with the rear window.
when I connected the new battery I went through the recalibration instructions in the hand book but to no avail. I have now a situation where as I unlock the door the rear window goes down. when I stop I have to activate the alarm and then raise the rear window via the key. Any ideas???

this may be because you disconnected the battery with the alarm active. unlock the car, all doors unlocked, then disconnect the battery and carry out the re-calibration procedure again.
