Rear Window Mechanism

Evening All

I am hoping I get better results with this question as my previous thread for advice with my wiper mechanism only drew one reply.

The cable in the rear mechanism is knackered and on E Bay they are selling kits to repair rather than replace the whole unit, my question is has anyone used one of these kits and if so are they easy to fit.

some people have used them and swear by them, some people have used bike cables from halfords and filed the nipple down, some people have replaced the whole regulator.

if you do a search, you will find a few threads about this and you can make your own call.

I had my local independent fit a 2nd hand one as I was in a desparate hurry to get it sorted.
