So, wanting to make my Defender as comfortable as possible, I ordered 5m sq of camper van insulation (ya know, with the foil outter lining).
I took out all the rivets and pulled the back floor out, and this crossmember is rotted to F.
I'm looking for a replacement, and all ebay can give me is £30? My dad seems to reckon that is steep.
What's the proper name for this piece? I am trying to see if Mailorder4x4 does it a little cheaper but can't find anything with 'crossmember' as a term?
Also, I'm thinking of sandwiching the Insulation, a thin sheet of ply undercoated on the bottom side, insulation middle and my chequered metal floor top?
