I picked up a Pressbrake crossmember a while back and just got round to welding it on today. It took a wee bit of fabrication as the legs were missing but it’s on. The point of my post is to say it’s a shame he no longer makes these (not sure what happened to him) as this thing is solid. I pity any poor bugger who ever runs into the back of me 😳

I have the same on mine, I bought the kit off him with the steel cut for chassis legs, I then had the x member galved before welding it on.
He is still about on the migweldingforum.

That will see you out I think 🤔
Mine was a bit rusty and I had hoped to get it sand blasted, but it didn’t happen for various reasons. Wire brushed with the grinder, well primed and painted will need to do. With the metal thickness on these things I don’t think I’ll need to worry about it rusting through for a long time !!

I was initially going to paint it, but mate was having some series cappings galved, so we went halves on the cost, plus like you say the thickness means rust is pretty much irrelevant.
I did fit a 110 rear x member to a mates 110, again I advised he got a galved version, and I have to say I was pretty impressed with it.
