Series 3 Rear tub repairs

This is as i tried but it was not easy. I think between the cold air cooling the canister and the temp drop due to the drop in pressure if the air as it leaves the nozzle it quickly became blocked. Perhaps I should have thinned it down?
Try warming the aerosol in a bath of warm water - those baby bottle warmers are quite useful for this sort of thing. Aerosols have many downsides - cooling due continuous use is one...

...the other thing that is worthwhile doing is to remove nozzles and soak in thinner after blasting them clear with brake cleaner
 
So I finished the rear floor today. Was a pretty easy job. Riveted the rubber pads on the crossmembers , fitted them and then the floor on top and riveted everywhere.Looks good
Do the rubber pads actually sit in contact with the top of the chassis rail? I'm getting ready to refit my tub after a refurb and it's been so long that I can't remember. I assume they do and that would clarify some alignment questions. Thanks. Steve.

I think they should!
 
Managed to get my floor out of the rear tub over the weekend... I definitely recommend getting a decent spot weld drill (possibly even 2). Having to do all those with a hammer and chisel would have been a nightmare.
 
'twas - it also bends the floor. I am preparing to get it back in, but I wonder if I'm sub-consciously putting it off for fear it may not go back properly. On lovely sunny days like today there's nowhere better to be than lying under a 40+ year old Landrover getting black hands and a stiff neck.
