Hi can anyone help. I am new to the forum. I have noticed my suspension has dropped on the back. Went to pump it up and it hasnt gone up. Listening to the compressor though it sounds very rough. I have been trying to find it but as this is a new car to me at the moment could someone point me in the direction of where it would be. I have a LR2 TD5.

Thanks for your help

Assuming your car is RHD, the air suspension compressor is fastened to the chassis directly under the front passenger seat.

It has a black plastic cover, under the cover you will find the compressor itself plus the valve block.

If I were you, the first thing I would be doing is to inspect (and if necessary replace) the air filter for the sls system. You will find this filter by removing the LHS rear tail light unit in the rear pillar. It is a black plastic cylinder approx 3-4 inches long and approx 2 inches in diam.

What can happen is that this filter gets soaked with water and this water is sucked through to the compressor and damages it.

There is also another black plastic cylinder device which is fastened to the chassis rail approx 2 feet from the compressor towards the rear of the vehicle. This cylinder can become damaged allow water into the system.

That'll give you some things to check !!!
