Rear Sunroof problem

The rear sunroof on my 03 Discovery will not open. There is a clicking coming from the sunroof ecu above the front switch panel but it won't budge.

The front one works fine and the switch in the rear appears to have feed to it.

Could this be a fault with the ecu in the front or does the little black box under the headlining in the rear play a part?

Just bought the car so do not know when or if the rear sunroof has ever been used.

Got exactly the same thing with my 98 tdi es,had it 2 years,front works fine but not the back one,will have to have a look at it sometime.
Air Con works so i never need the sunroof,but it would be nice to have everything working.

Taking mine in this week to have wiper motor sorted so will get them to look at it and will let you know what they say.

Just got hold of workshop manual so will try to look up something in that.

Thanks for your email i have a Haynes manual here for 89-98 disco`s,looking at the circuit diagram for the sunroofs it is quite complex and hard to get at.with a total of 4 switches.
I will have to have a look at mine soon,may be just stuck.

Had mine fixed today and it was the motor that had burnt out, had a second hand one fitted and it works fine
