I’m rebuilding the back end after a strip down and just noticed I don’t have part 22 in the below diagram. It looks like a rubber seat of some sort. Question is, is it needed as there wasn’t one when I stripped it down. ??

My Ninety, which was unusually complete and original, didn't have those either.

I made my own by cutting plastic rings out of an old oil container, just to stop rust spreading from the springs to the spring seats.

That’s a good shout. I have a sheet of 2 or 3 mm rubber, but I think that would just wear away.
