Hi just spent the day, well 5 hours changing the rear spring on my classic and new brakes all round. Reading the manual on RAVE disk and forum links found a much easier way..jack up the car remove wheel, prop up rear axel and lower down, attach spring compressors (screwfix £16) Then jack up again using Chassic, spring falls out..(need to remove spring retainers first.) Then the harder bit screwing the new springs down with the compressors and reverse the process. No need to remove or unbolt the dampners, or risk damage to brake pipes. Didnt plan on changing brake pads all round but saw they were down past the sensors...probally why I had warning lights on dash!! well who takes notice of a few lights on old girls..
