Freelander 1 rear parcel shelf

so my 3 door does not have a rear parcel shelf, but i assume they do have them?

there looks like there might be a couple of holes either side for something?
and if they do are the 3 door different to the 5 door ones? i assume? with different lengths?

5-door shelf is a roll-away job, ten-a-penny on ebay. 3-door is a solid plastic moulding hinged on the trim panel with a latch like the one on the boot cubby box. They cost a bloody fortune new - I think I saw one in Rimmer's for £450 - and if you see one on ebay for less than £100 grab it and never let go. About as common as unicorn bridles.

You think the parcel shelf is hard to get hold of, try buying the fixing kit.
Rocking horse sh1t is easier to come by

aha, so i noticed also that about half way up the side windows of the rear removeable roof there was a black steel bracket either side that i coulditn work out what the hell they were so i assume they are something to do with the parcel shelf then

That means your vehicle was previously a soft top or has had a soft top fitted at some stage
