Rear lights not working -TD300i

Hi all
First time on site and managed to create a thread in wrong location so apologises.

I would appreciate some help in identifying a rear light problem. I ha v e brake lights, indicators and headlights but no tail lights. Also noticed that when I switch my headlights off whilst my foot is on the brake the dipped light remains in but go off as soon as I release the brake.
I have checked bulbs and fuses but no joy.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like a bad earth issue.

Check the black wires coming from the rear lights and where they connect to the body. Probably some corrosion or a lose/ broken connection.

+ 1 on the above.

I had odd light issues, twas indeed an earth. This was behind my headlamp.
