Forgive me if this has been covered already but I have searched.after fitting a new bumper on my 300tdi at the weekend I noticed that the lower lights in the bumper are both tempremental and vaulnerable and was wondering if its possible to duplicate them into the normal light cluster and use a double filament bulb?also: has anyone done a mod for a quick release tow bar fitment.I have one fitted but its huge and kills my decent clearences! rob

The lights are already duplicated in the 1996-97MY disco rear light clusters (indi and tail)so yes you can.

Unless u understand with the stresses that tow bars take and take that into account in your design it's best to get a manufactured quick release that is certified, also if fitted at an mot test they are now checked.

is there a how to for this or a guide?

rob

I believe the all the circuits alreay exist in the wiring at the rear of the upper units, asfor a guide if you search the forum there maybe some info to suit u, it's not difficult job if you have a bit know how and you will have to replace the upper lamps.
