P38A Rear height sensor

Quick question can the p38a early rear hieght sensors be swapped for the later ones, as its just shy of £100 per corner for the 1995 ones as opposed to £30 for the later 1997 type

I suppose anything is possible. The connections are different and so possibly are the mounts

I think mounts are different, i got some off another P38 to use on mine but they were different. Mines a 98 and i think the one i borrowed from was a 96.

Think there maybe a kit somewhere that allows this but don't quote me on it.

Don't suppose you have a pick of the later type mounting points so I can compare the different ones. I thought I may be able just to swap the plugs using the extra bit of cable you get with the early type sensor

I considered this as had same issue I have a 1995 P38, but it looked more complicated than it was worth so hung around and got one off eBay for £30 for a used one and worked perfectly so just need to keep an eye on there for a 1995 one. While I was looking for the 1995 sensor I used some ball valves and manually pumped each corner until I got the right sensor. Good luck there should be used one on there.

Check with seller but reading add just need to wiring in plug. It is used bought I got a used one and it was fine.

I am sure the 96 is the same as my 01.
Is the 95 so different.

Mine looks the same mounts as later type I was told on a Facebook page the plugs may be different

Up to 1997 sensors are different. Later 1997 and on ones can be swapped side to side early ones cannot.
