Rear Drive Shaft Replacement

I have resigned myself to the fact that I will have to get my NSR Drive Shaft replaced (quite a bit of movement back and forth away from the wheel).

The question is; should one replace them in pairs as good practice or save the extra money for the next 'design feature' to go wrong...thoughts?

Hi

If the other side seems fine i would save your money, but if you feel its slightly worn or slightly to much play i would also replace.

I took the 'ole girl' on a journey into the North this weekend. Sadly on the return leg she was vibrating like a specialist Amsterdam mattress from the underside for most of time between 60-70mph.

Having pulled into the services to have a look at the rear diff/drive shafts and check for signs of worn bearings it seems that BOTH rear drive shafts have play in them - so it looks as though i'm about to endure open wallet sugery.

Does anyone happen to know if it is 'normal' for the rear diff to move like a nodding donkey when backwards and forwards pressure is applied to the wheel when jacked up?

Thanks for the reply but all three mounts and the diff (and VCU) were replaced only three months ago...if they have gone for a burton so soon there could be some stiff words had with the garage..
