Evening chaps.

My rear door lock doesn't latch when I lock it with the key.
It resets itself to unlocked when I turn the key back clockwise to remove.
Any fixes or is it goosed and need a new one?
If the latch is pushed up from the inside it will stay locked

Thanks folks

I had this.....I just replaced the latch assembly.

The assembly is 'welded' together using hammered over rivet like pegs, so to open it up, you would need to drill those out. Reassembly would require you to 'weld' it back together.

As I no longer work at a place with a full engineering workshop, I didn't have the equipment, tools and spares around to undertake the work, so I just replaced the whole assembly. About £30 I think of hand.

Lakky bands thrown away by posties are also good to save.
I used one as throttle return spring on my Series I with a view to changing it as soon as ... which happened to be a couple of years later!
