Rear discs?

The brakes on my 2003 Freelander TD4 Kalahari, particularly the handbrake are crap, and I wondered if there was any "conversion" available to rear discs?

Maybe a higher spec model, or later version uses them?

Anyone?

Nope, no FL1 uses rear discs.

As for a poor handbrake, remove the drums and check the little levers on the handbrake shoes, as these seize up frequently

App you can convert the drums to discs,but it's quite a pricey conversion. I saw it advertised on a yahoo site some time back. The problem I've had is finding a local garage willing to do it.most of em talk to ya like your thick,and dont seem to realise we are trying to make our vehicles safer,one garage laughed at me,good way to do business.

Safer? The handbrake will probably be worse if fitted with discs...
