Rear diff seal/flange .

Hey all my rear axle seals are leaking bad and I wasn’t sure if it’s from the actual seal or the diff flange as there’s too much oil to tell . Is there a way to check or am I best just ordering the seal for £6 rather than the diff flange for £40

If 'all' are leaking this would indicate a blocked breather ...

Clean off the oil at the flange. If that seal is leaking you'll see oil running down the diff. It's a doddle to change and not expensive. If your breathers blocked then you'll need to change it anyway

Pull the flange and take a look at the land where the seal runs. If smooth then good and just change the seal but if rough/grooved change flange also.
