Hi all,
I recently posted a thread relating to a possible shot rear diff on a L322 td6. I tested the diff by putting the transfer box in neutral (37 fuse) and rotated the prop. The prop won't turn which I'm sure is a good sign but I'm worried about the two loud knocks:confused: I felt and heard from the rear diff area. The car seems to drive ok but wondered if I can do anything to stop it happening again.

check the suspension links never replaced a rear dif yet normaly you will get a whine from a worn diff

All,
Went out to rr today warmed it up and put it in reverse started to reverse then lost drive and grinding noise coming from gearbox or front diff area. I've checked in my service book and there's no details of front diff being recalled in 2008. Could it now be this and is it an easy process?

Fookin ell, I'll stick to my P38...!
Hope you get if fixed fella, that's not good on such a new costly machine.:(

Rang local LR dealer today and the rr is booked in for a front diff re-call foc. I'm just a little worried what else they will find wrong with it! At least they didn't fob me off.
