Hey there im a novice at working on landys can anyone tell me please does the rear diff oil on f1 come from the engine please
 
No. The rear diff has its own oil, just like any other rear wheel drive car.

There's no drain plug fitted, so you either need to remove the rear plate and re-seal before re-filling, or suck the oil out with a pump or large syringe.

It takes less than 1 Litre of standard EP80 oil.

Thats great thankyou for kind reply to my thread how do you tell if its running dry? Suck it and see literally? As mines got a small leak and worried its runs low

Remove filler plug and either look with a lamp or squirt more in until it comes out of filler. Ensure vehicle is level before doing this.
