Rear Crossmember/Rear Discs

Hi gang

OK any recommendations of where to go to get the rear crossmember replaced with extensions for a 90 200TDi. Willing to travel within 100miles of Berkshire.

Also whats the best place to get a disco rear axle with disc brakes and will they fit without modification to the 90? (1993 model)

Can't help with the welding advice. but a disco axle will fit no problem just make sure that the diff is the same ratio as the front axle.

try Keith Gott in Alton - they know their stuff.

Discoveries and Defenders left the factory with the same ratio diffs, so unless someone's been playing, you should be OK

try e bay for axles. something always comes up. or buy a scrapper and put the engine/G box on ebay, you get your money back ASAP!

Thanks will look at ebay for scrap discos and also keith in alton...hopefully not outrageous in price.
