Evenin all.

Am i missing a trick here... Fitted a new allmakes 4x4 rear oil seal when i put my 300tdi in few weeks back.

Leaked a wee bit, not too bad. Went for a 200 mile drive, came back, it was literally dribbling out!

While the engine was out t'other day had a look at it, seems quite hard, and doesn't seem to be a good enough fit over the crankshaft. Any ideas?

I am probably gonna get a genuine one this time, but is there like an orange one thats better, or something?

Oh, its gotta be the 12J one, 'cos thats the flywheel housing that I have fitted.

Ta all!

shud have bought gen in the first place :D for the sake of 4 quid difference.

The orange one is the 'Gen' one I can give you a price if ya want ;)

go 4 it! Have a ****part one here that im not even going to bother fitting, gorra price and postage cost etc? Have got another source, but he don't know when he will b able to get me one. Ta!

Why wasn't the one i took out orange?

I had the same problem with a Haddocks one probly allmakes4X4, I replaced it with a genuine one, an so far no problems. Had the same problem with Allmakes steering box seal the one on the input shaft, started ****ing oil out after a few days so replaced it with one from a local bearing an seals place an it's bin ok since.

Spam or no, its stopped leaking! I honestly can't believe it!

Its stopped smoking, stopped pressurising the crankcase, and 2 days later it stopped leaking!

The only thing i can think is that a large dose of Wyns engine oil stop leak ackshurly worked! Must be bloody good stuff though, it was litterally dribbling off the bottom of the engine... There was a black line up to everywhere i came to a halt!

Oh yeah, theres oil in it, checked again today juuust in case, up to the max mark! Hasn't lost any at all, well chuffed!
