hi all, im supposed to be collecting a 200tdi next week for my def 90 (all going well) so last weekend i ordered the service parts from LRseries, it arrived this evening and i was impressed with the delivery time considering im in Ireland.

Everything is there except.. i ordered a GENUINE rear crank oil seal, i just picked up mine to find a britpart stamped across the front of it and iv been charged for genuine!!:mad:

Iv emailed them just now explaining but wont get reply until tomo at least!

really i want a genuine one but dont wanna wait too long either!
should i settle for my money back?? has anyone used and had problems with the britpart oil seal?

Thanks in advance

go with genuine m8, i wouldn't wipe my arse with britpart stuff. if a britpart water pump fails it's a pain but not the end of the world as it's a few bolts and some moaning. if the rear crank seal goes then it's engine out time. i know what i would do:rolleyes:

What does the seal look like ???? , is it steel outer with 'Dowty' stamped on the face of it ? or is it orange rubber looking ? . you can still have a gen seal but labled britpart , does the part number have a G at the end of it ?

yes it does have a 'G'.. and its steel with a green edge, no orange to be seen!!

And i just got an email this evening confirming its genuine! Woohoo!! lots of hassle saved there anyway, dunno why they had a britpart sticker on it but no harm done anyway...

LRseries have redeemed themselves! :D

Thanks all for help!
