my 1989 110 as just failed mot on rear brakes.
just says rear brake application uneven, tester said 1 side was wildly different to other side.
have cleaned them up checked everything moving freely, set adjusters.
going back tomorrow in case it fails again anything else i can check on it?

Had new rear shoes since last test, place i got shoes from said only 1 type listed for it but looking on paddocks they list 10 " and 11".

any ideas pls?

cheers

Rear drum brakes usualy work **** because they are not correctly adjusted!

Mine had new brake shoes fitted by a garage just before I bought it and the dim ****s had put the two larger pads on one side and the 2 smaller ones on t'uther

You probably need to get someone else to help you, get them to press pedal in slowly and make sure the pistons are free to move in and out. don't pop 'em out!

Once had a 109 that pulled badly to one side going forward and the other in reverse, found it was fitted with two left hand backplates on the front axle!!
