Rear Axle 109

Just about to start putting axles back together, on my 109.
Didn't notice this extra hole when I took it apart, there was only 6 bolts. Anyone know why this extra hole is there ? it is same on both sides. Stub has 6 holes

Looks like a location dowel. Sailsbury or Rover diff ?

Thanks. There was nothing in it when I took them apart, should I just leave it blank when putting back together ?

If there was nothing in there before then yes. It may be a location position for machining when the casting was first machined ?
