rear 6 & 7th seat probs

Hi All, PLEASE Can someone give me some urgent help. I've been trying to put up my very rear fold up seats, but although I can turn them, and lock them to the floor, I cant pull the back part up on either of them so the seats are upright! i've followed the instructions as in the hand book, but they just wont budge no matter how hard I pull, I dont want to force them too much. Oh, I have a 7 seat discovery 2 2001. it is the 6th & 7th seats I'm referring too. Does anyone know how to rectify this problem? I want to use them very soon, so need help pretty quick. thanks in advance.

Be forceful when you move them from stored to clicked to the floor (give 'em a good bang). Failing that, reach under and pull the cable taut as you turn the lever.

I think a search will list a previous similar problem. I am sure I read how to sort out these seats a few months ago. I have had to drop and then raise the seats a few times to get the catch to release so you can raise the backs.

If you lift one of the seats just a little and look under it you will see the green tab that you use to unlock from when it stored away. So if you look just back A little from the green tab you will see a hook with a silver cable on it . Note in you head where that is then slam seat down reach under and with your finger pull it back just a mm or two. Them you should find the leaver works to make upright .

If you look at the hook you can see the shaft/pin it is meant to hook too ! It's that what you have to pull the hook onto once the seat is locked to the floor ,
