Re-sticking headlining in a classic

Hi all.....Just taken down the 2 piece headlining in my 2 door classic and was just wondering what is the best glue to use to re-stick the cloth to the backing, the spray stuff or the brush on contact adhesive.....Anyone of you done it before and what were your methods?....

I used spray adhesive as used by carpet fitters, worked well for years till I sold it on

When I lined out my Campervan I was advised to brush contact adhesive onto the supporting panel, press the lining onto the panel and then remove it. When the adhesive has gone tacky stick it back on. This prevents too much adhesive getting on the lining and bleeding through. Worked a treat.

Thanks for that......So both types are good for the job. Will give the spray a try as it's less messy and I'd feel more in control if something went wrong.....
