Missing a beat could be lots of things, but I'd start with a full
service (if only to get a much of the Slick 50 out as possible) and
new plugs, cap, rotor arm and ignition amplifier. Have a good look at
the leads as well.

ECU is possible, but IME that seems to be everyone's immediate thought
but rarely the actual cause. It's also the most expensive thing to
swap!

While you've got the plugs out do a compression test and see that you
get fairly even numbers across all the cylinders. I'd also want to
see nice clean coolant (it seems to come in all different colours
these days, but not rusty brown). And clean or black oil, not milky!

Yer man has 100% feedback on a mix of 65 selling and buying
transactions. A good sign I would say...
