Posted this in the wrong zone a couple of weeks back and the photo didn't come out so here it is again. Have to add that all the locals we saw couldn't help but stare at the Landy but they all smiled and I never got cut up once

Edit: Note Mercedes badge on the back end - I like to think that this prooves that Germans can have a sense of humour.
Hi all,
Just got back from a week in North Germany based in the German town of 'Tossen'! Decided that the Series III was the only way to travel, although my good lady wasn't convinced.
So after just under 800 miles I think you can say that I know the old girl quite well (that's the Series III and not my better half). I can't believe how well she runs; She averaged 19 mpg for the whole trip and gave a best of 22.2 mpg on the motorway trip back. FWH disengaged.
Time for a good service, full oil change and prep for new springs and shocks all round.
Saw two other Landies in the week and couldn't resist a quick shot of this one:
Already planning summer trip which will be far more challenging/adventurous I'll post most info in the next week or so to see if anyone is interested.
