You may want to consider getting your news through individual.net, that way
you don't see nay binary posts in any newsgroups as the server won't carry
them. You need to register first and get a username and password but they
provide a fantastic service. Check out http://www.individual.net/ if you're
interested.

Of course you may like getting pictures in newsgroups...
