Has anyone got one of these fitted?

I'm just about to make a little panel that goes in the open area of the dash in the middle to mount a couple of gauges and a carplay headunit (to give me satnav and hitch cams), but I need to add a few switches. I can either make my new panel wide enough to put some switches on, but then I saw this pod and it looks OK - but can't find any good pics of it fitted properly. Anyone got one? Thank you.

Saw this on eBay last week. Looks good.

I’ve got one of these for some gauges and switches to be fitted on my 90…
https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/mudpod Might be worth a look. It mounts on top of the dash using the void where the ashtray sits. Switches and gauges are more in your field of vision.

Thanks for the link to the mudstuff pod - that looks good too doesn't it. I've decided to give the RDX fuse pod a go to check it out - now on order.

Sneak preview. I really like it, with just one problem - the LT85 gear lever fouls it in 1st, 3rd & 5th. They didn't say that in the ad! I guess on an LT77 or R380 gearbox it's in a different location so you'll be OK.

But - I still really like it and I don't want to have to remake the entire upper dash. So I have a gear lever on order to modify a little.

You can also see the 5" carplay head unit - ultra small so it fits in nice and flush with no cutting of the dash panels or the "protrusion" you normall end up with to fit one in. I like carplay for the satnav, plus the head unit supports 2x cameras to give me front and rear hitch cams for maneouvering.

I am sure you have already tired this and I know my experience is not exactly the same as is with a lt77 but when I fitted the raptor dash in mine I had to rotate the gear lever a couple of splines around to prevent it hitting the dash. I do not know if this is something that would work on yours before you try bending things.

That is such a good point that I've had to go out and double check, since yes, I did have the stick angled on the splines towards the driver. Sadly, even with the stick straight back, still fouls.

I don't think it'll be too big a deal to solve - and I guess it's just a function of the where the stick comes through on the LT85 vs others. I think if I just cut and weld the lower vertical section of the stick, it'll move the stick back 1/2" and lower the "cranked" section that fouls a bit too. Given the relative rarity of the LT85 installs, I'm making sure I can source a spare stick before I hack this one around though.

Cut & welded the gear lever - this shifts it back by about 1/2" and lowers the dogleg by by about 5/8" - just about creates enough clearance now - this is it in 3rd. Reverse is a little bit closer, but I think still OK. Obviously I could do more major surgery - but trying to K.I.S.S.
