Rave

Anyone know where I can get a download of Rave. I downloaded it from a site but adobe can't open it. Says I need a third party plugin to open it.

its normally an ISO file - you need to save it on to a CD.

ok no problem, I'll save it onto a disc an retry it.

yu dont just save it - it is an image file.

Tried saving it to disc but that didn't work either. My files are in pdf format, have i downloaded the wrong thing?

rave is in 'PDF', so you'll need acrobat to open it, but some have problems with the latest version of Acrobat and Rave.

Most of the Rave CD's or image files use a much earlier version of Adobe Acrobat, and will not run on the later ones as it says that add-ons required.

With the downloaded version, use Nero to write to a CD, then copy the whole CD to a new folder on your hard drive. That should include the earlier Acrobat reader.

Then make a shortcut to 'rave.exe' in the folder, on to your desktop or quickstart bar.

The files on your hard drive will be 'read-only' as they came off the CD, but that shouldn't be a problem, I changed mine to 'non read-only' as a matter of formality.

Cheers lads for the help. Got 3 of the discs downloaded. One of the downloads came with acrobat reader 4 which is a lot older than anyone is using I'm sure. I installed acrobat 4 and was able to access all the data I needed. So I have them here on disc now for future reference. Thanks for the help.......
