rangerover 2010 diesel v8 autobox fault p0372

a friend of mine has a fault on his gearbox p0370,p0371,p0372 and is looking for a help anyone know a really good gearbox man its working gearbox but every now and then goes into limb mode normally when pulling away from start, he has been quoted a fortune from landrover for new auto box fitted

any help gratefull

Those codes are PCM related I believe.

Did the stealer actually quote what those codes are referencing in regards to the component?

Battery voltage i'd also be inclined to check.

Transmission incorrect gear ratio.
Has it had a service recently?

What is the fluid level and condition?
Both need to be checked.

@Bemble is one of the resident gearbox gurus.
I think he's based up north but when he sees this he will probably be able to help.
Main dealers will quote a fortune, you need to find a good local autobox specialist

His vehicle is too old for JLR to be interested in fixing. Hence silly money quotes. As above battery and fluid. Also try a post in Regional LZers , to see if there is anyone local who knows a good indy. More chance of getting someone by looking through there, than hoping someone local might stumble across it here.


As a starter for ten, try @JUKE179r he might know of somewhere. I'm sure he's from down that way,.

i will start checking on this later today thanks for your replies and it was serviced the gearbox in the summer and it was all done to specification apparantely or should i say was done with oil temp and specification of oil change done to
