Hi, I've recently looked into upgrading the headunit on my Range Rover.

I've seen various threads on here regarding the matter with some people having success and some not...#

I've got a 2002 Range Rover Vouge with Sat Nav and DSP amp I believe. Can anyone give me a definitive answer on weather either of these headunits would work:

2 DIN Car DVD GPS Navigation System Headunit Autoradio for Range Rover 2003 2004 | eBay

7" Car Stereo DVD GPS Sat Nav 3G Audio Head Unit BMW 5 Series E39 E53 X5 M5 E38 | eBay

From what I gather I would have to run some cables to the rear of the car for the amp etc, is that is all thats required?

Thanks in advance.

If you have dsp, then not easily. You will have to wire back to the BM54 radio module in the back if you have nav already and my experience of these Chinese units is not good. They sure do all they say, but are very clunky to use with poor touch (stab) screens and a real lack of finesse. I had one in an X5 and got rid of it after 6 months and went back to OEM stuff.
I would look at fitting a pioneer App radio if I had my chance again.

Thanks for your reply.

I'll have a look into the Pioneer unit.

I take it whatever unit I purchase I'd lose the MPG function etc?
