Can anybody here let me know more info on range rover classic vans? I have seen one for sale on ebay and am very interested. Were range rovers actually made in the factory as vans? How will I be able to tell if it is an original van or not?

i would think it is a standard 2 door rr that has been converted i notice he doesnt state if he has log book or what that says

RR did make vans but not very many.
Tried googling it?

Range Rover 1972-1994

This rarely-seen van version of the Range Rover really belongs in the "Overseas models" section (below), as it was built primarily for sales in markets where commercial vehicles did not attract the import duties that made the standard Range Rover too expensive for many customers. However, a handful were in fact sold in the UK, mainly to Police forces. Production of the van continued long after the two-door estate model had been discontinued, giving a clue as to the feasibilty of the special edition two-door CSK model which appeared in 1990.

Don't forget, if it is registered as a van, and is diesel, then you won't be able to take it into the M25 after 2010, due to the LEZ.

I think you'll still be able to take it in, but from 4th October 2010, it will cost you £100/day for the pleasure of sitting in all those traffic jams in your pre-2002 unmodified diesel van .......

Over here commercial vehicles pay less road tax and the roads are full of them from Isuzu Troopers to Disco's. BMW X5's to top of the range Range Rovers. Do a search on "Blanchardstown 4X4" in Ireland and there's loads of them.

Thanks for the response.
It does look like the picture above/ I have asked the seller what it says on the logbook and if they even have the logbook.
